Traian Bompa is a Romanian architect based in Paris, drawn to the un fi nished project of the city with a strong focus on renewal, housing, and the pursuit of inclusivity. His work explores the mee ti ng point between real estate and architecture, asking how concrete, capital, and regula B can be hacked into producing more than just structures, fragments of well-being, fairness, and new forms of collec ti ve life while fostering equitable access to quality housing. In parallel, he teaches Renouvellement Urbain at the École Supérieure de l’Immobilier in Paris, training a new genera ti on to treat neighborhoods not as frozen assets but as living organisms— and to deploy sustainability as a lever for transforma ti on. At the upcoming RREIF conference, he will join the panel “The Housing Impera ti ve: New Kids on the Block – Social Housing and Student Housing.” His perspec ti ve: these typologies—too o V dismissed as cheap, temporary, or peripheral—are in fact laboratories of urban resilience. Social and student housing are not burdens; they are prototypes of comfort, solidarity, and survival in ci ti es under relentless pressure.
The Romanian Real Estate Investment Forum (RREIF) stands as Romania’s premier platform for exploring the intersection of investment, urban innovation, and the identity of our cities.
Designed as an annual international conference, RREIF brings together mayors, government leaders, investors, and visionary experts to examine how real estate can drive transformative change, foster resilient communities, and enhance the unique character of Romanian cities.
The inaugural edition, under the theme “Reinventing the City: Investment, Innovation & Identity”, creates a high-level dialogue between policymakers, business leaders, and innovators, addressing Romania’s strategic role in the regional context and the power of real estate to shape the social, cultural, and economic fabric of urban life.
Through international insights, success stories, and practical examples, RREIF aims to position Romania as a hub for sustainable investment, urban regeneration, and bold, community-focused initiatives that redefine the way we live, work, and connect.
